Terms of Service
Effective July 15, 2026 · SSD Grading Inc.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SSD Grading website, application, and grading services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by SSD Grading Inc. (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Services
SSD Grading provides a two-part card grading process: (a) an AI pre-grade that analyzes photos of a trading card and produces an estimated grade and report, and (b) an optional professional grading service in which you physically submit a card for expert inspection, certification, and encapsulation.
The AI pre-grade is an automated estimate, not a guarantee. It may be affected by lighting, shadows, photo quality, autograph stickers, and other factors, and it may differ materially from a professional grade. Only a professional grade issued after physical inspection is certified by us.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Services.
3. Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. Plans renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are stated at checkout and may change with notice.
4. Physical grading submissions
When you submit a physical card, you represent that you own it or are authorized to submit it. You are responsible for packaging and shipping to us (or to a designated secured drop-off) using the method selected at checkout. Risk of loss during inbound transit is yours; we recommend insured, tracked shipping. We insure cards while in our possession up to the declared value and/or the applicable service tier limit.
Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees. Grades are assigned in our professional judgment and are final except as described in our Refund & Shipping Policy. Encapsulated cards include NFC anti-fraud features; tampering with a slab voids its certification and population record.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services, including by submitting counterfeit, stolen, or misrepresented items, attempting to defraud our certification or population systems, reverse-engineering the Services, or uploading unlawful content.
6. Intellectual property
The Services, including software, reports, branding, and the grading methodology, are owned by SSD Grading Inc.. You retain rights to the card images you upload and grant us a license to process, store, and display them to provide the Services and maintain certification and population records.
7. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI pre-grades, price estimates, or market data are accurate, complete, or suitable for any financial decision.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SSD Grading Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to a physical card is limited to the lesser of its declared value or the coverage limit of the selected service tier; for all other claims, to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold SSD Grading Inc. harmless from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms or your submission of items you did not own or were not authorized to submit.
10. Governing law & changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and your continued use constitutes acceptance.
